Isabella Christy’s Chihuahuas, Chihuahua Breeder

As a home breeder and solo business owner, Christina knew she needed a brand identity and a website to help her showcase her beautiful puppies. She also wanted a business management tool that could be woven into her site allowing those interested in her puppies to fill out an application before receiving a digitized contract; freeing Christina up from hours of administrative tasks. I installed a lead capture on her site using Dubsado software.

Overall Project

  • Color palette, fonts, logo design with three alternate variations, and images

  • Designed custom site on Squarespace

  • Client needed their contract reviewed and reworded so it was formatted correctly and made uploading it to Dubsado much easier

  • We created and installed a lead capture/application and digitized contract on her site for those interested in adopting a puppy.

    This has been a game changer for my client! She didn’t even know this existed when we first started working together.

    I talked her into it and she’s opened her eyes to automating this application and contract process.

  • Created meta descriptions for each page, optimized photo naming descriptions for organic SEO, researched keyword and incorporated in hierarchical SEO structure for each page

  • Created Google Console account; created and submitted site map

  • Set up Google Analytics profile through Google Admin Console

  • Setup Google Workspace and forwarded email to client’s existing email account for ease of use

  • Created and verified listing for client

brand development: color palette

Client asked for pinks and purples. We settled on an array of tints and shades of those two colors.

I designed a few variations of her logo to include images and selected fonts.

I created a customized 11-page Squarespace 7.1 website using Fluid Engine.

brand extension: iconography + imagery

I found an icon element that I could use throughout her site to complement her color palette and overall brand style. I also selected some imagery to complement the design theme.

I customized some graphics to serve as background images and placed stars where they wouldn’t block content on the site.

contract: reorganized + reworded

Client’s contract needed to be reorganized before I could upload it to Dubsado. This turned out to be a beast of a task and consumed almost 8 hours to fix.

search engine optimization: meta descriptions

Squarespace makes it very easy to optimize each page on your site with meta descriptions and SEO titles. While this is the most basic SEO service, it’s great to have it done before publication.

I created a Google Console and Google Analytics account before submitting a sitemap for indexing. I verified the URL by adding header code to each page.
